At the Lions Club meeting on November 2, Brandon Outreach Clinic speaker, Debbie Meegan, spoke about the Clinic’s program.

The Clinic, which began in 1989 with a different name, objective is to provide free medical care to low income uninsured persons. Their program includes diagnosis, lab tests, & follow up care, they give assistance with referrals & other community services, they give free Well Woman exams which include Pap Smears & Mammograms, they provide low cost medications to qualified patients &. provide medical supplies & assistance with Hillsborough Co. Health Care Plan.

There are income qualifications that each patient must meet in order to be provided medical assistance. Qualification is based on income which varies with the size of the patient or family.

The out reach Clinic accepts “durable goods” at 517 N. Parsons Av.
Brandon on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 8:30- 4, Wednesday 1-6. They are closed Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.
